Opatija – “the Pearl of the Adriatic”

Wednesday, 26/10/2022
Sunday, 30/10/2022
Full-day tour: 9:00 – 18:00 h

Opatija is a charming tourist destination on the coast, and only a two-hour drive from Zagreb. It is a town with the longest tourism tradition in Croatia. To this day, it has managed to keep its enchanting beauty. A very attractive geographic position, lush green scenery, and pleasant climate were the main reasons for the beginning and quick development of its tourism at the end of the 19th century.

Opatija has remained in complete harmony with nature right up until the present day. Well-maintained public gardens, an illuminated 12 km-long promenade beside the sea known as the “Lungomare”, spotless beaches, and fountains are all a part of Opatija’s allure. The contrasts of the blue sea, green mountains and parks, old buildings and modern comforts, noisy entertainment venues and quiet destinations for excursions all combine to make Opatija and its surroundings a beautiful tourist destination at any time of the year.
